A boy who's recently transferred to Sara Junior High. After chasing down Kazuki, who caught Toi breaking into a car, the two were turned into kappa. Toi tends to keep his distance from others, even after befriending Kazuki and Enta. His parents ran a soba shop before they died four years ago. This incident left Toi in the care of Chikai, his beloved older brother. Toi is aware of Chikai's shady line of work and is willing to commit crimes for his brother's sake. Toi and Kazuki met when they were children, but even after Toi remembers this, he's unable to confront Kazuki about it.
